New spin on designer cool at Cape Town’s KAMERS/Makers Stellenbosch flagship artisan show

A South African Bluewater mobile hydration station always delights people with water as pure as nature intended

Stockholm, Sweden, October 28, 2018 – Bluewater puts a new spin on designer cool at the upcoming KAMERS/Makers handcraft and design show in Cape Town – South Africa’s favourite celebration of local decor, fashion, jewellery, gifts, food, wine and much, much more.

Visitors to the six-day event running October 30 to November 4 at Blaauwklippen Vineyards between Stellenbosch and Somerset West will be offered water crafted as pure as nature intended by Bluewater and served chilled still or sparkling to help turn the tide on single-user plastic bottles.

KAMERS/Makers will not only be promoting local creativity and entrepreneurship but has partnered with Bluewater Africa and local bottle-maker Consol Glass to provide glass bottles and pure drinking water to keep visitors hydrated, without the need for single-use plastic water bottles, leading the way in sustainable event management and ensuring our environment is placed first. 

“While enjoying the hand-picked local creativity, visitors to KAMERS/Makers will have the opportunity to try Bluewater first hand from one of our three Bluewater Trailers,” says James Steere, Cape Town-based Executive Director of Bluewater Africa. He said Bluewater had been brought in by the organisers as part of its vision to remove all single-use plastic from the event.

Bluewater Trailers will dispense water, free of contaminants that can impact taste and health. Bluewater’s unique technology, which utilizes the company’s hero product, the compact Pro water purifier, harnesses a patented second-generation reverse osmosis process called SuperiorOsmosis™. 

The Bluewater Pro can generate 7,000 liters of pure water every day even from non-potable sources, including normally tough-to-purify brackish water or rain water.

Bluewater water-cleansing technology and solutions not only generate water as pure as nature intended but also do it at point of use, in a home or commercial kitchen, in hotels, in safari lodges, winery tasting rooms and at large-scale events, obviating the need to transport plastic bottles of water from one part of the country to another.

Every visitor will receive a Consol Curvy glass bottle to refill with purified drinking water at three Bluewater mobile water stations.

“Consol Glass and Bluewater share the same objective, to reduce single-use plastic, an ambition we successfully delivered on during the partnership with the Volvo Ocean Race stopover in Cape Town last year, where together we helped prevent the use of up to 500 000 thousand standard plastic water bottles,” she said.
